Desert Dreams in Motion: 4-Day Express Tour
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Gorge
Your journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech, venturing across the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its earthen architecture and appearances in famous films.
After exploring this iconic ksar, continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before arriving at the dramatic Dades Gorge, where you’ll spend the night amid breathtaking rock formations and quiet Berber villages.
Day 2: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
After breakfast, head toward the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon carved by the Todra River. Enjoy a short walk through the gorge before continuing to the Sahara. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll mount a camel and trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Reach your premium desert camp in time for a stunning sunset.
After a traditional dinner, spend the night under a canopy of stars, with time set aside for special photography sessions capturing the magic of the desert.
Day 3: Merzouga - Alnif - Tazarine - Zagora
Wake up early for a desert sunrise and breakfast at camp, then begin the journey toward Zagora, traveling through Alnif and Tazarine—remote towns framed by striking desert scenery.
Along the way, see acacia-dotted plains and occasional nomadic settlements. Arrive in Zagora, a peaceful desert town at the edge of the Draa Valley, where you can relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere and warm local hospitality.
Day 4: Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
On your final day, journey north through the Draa Valley’s palm groves and ancient kasbahs, passing once more through Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Morocco.”
